Private Language Teacher
Teaching languages across borders and generations—from English to young Spanish students to Spanish for American adults. A rewarding journey helping people connect through language.
I discovered that while I liked learning languages, I also became good at teaching languages. I started by teaching Spanish in a more formal structure to students in the US, and then more recently, I started teaching English to younger students here in Madrid. I now have 6 students in total. This has allowed me to carry over my knowledge of the languages into something that I enjoy, and also brings a lot of value to other people (so they tell me).
I'm inspired by exploring the differences and commonalities between cultures. Teaching languages isn't just about the grammar and syntax but also the way that language shapes how we think of the world. It allows me to bridge my Spanish world with my American world, and be in both places at the same time.
